Who is worse off?
Dear **|FNAME|** ,
I dont know about you but this time of year is a tricky one for me. Holidays are over, sun has all but disappeared and I am sure that there should not be quite so many leaves on the ground quite yet! I have to dig deep to find the resources to remember that this phase of shutting down that we call Autumn, is all just part of a cycle and every season has a purpose.
And I know I am not alone in this. This time of year is when I see more people who want help with depression, or find themselves comfort eating as a way to 'treat' themselves and escape the grey mood for just a minute. And it was one of these clients who really led me to one of those 'light bulb' moments this week when I found myself talking about how other people who were 'far worse off' than them were living fulfilling lives. As the words tumbled from my mouth - up popped that little voice that said, "Wow, hypocritical or what Mrs!"
To find out why and what I learned when that penny dropped, read more here
So if you are also feeling a bit grey and gloomy (along with the weather!) then I am going to be sharing some tips (which also serve as a good reminder to me!) of things that you can do to help stop those negative thoughts piling up quicker than the leaves. It's on a facebook page but if you are not into facebook, drop me a line and I can email them directly.
Until next week,
