As most people in these busy times, I wear many hats. I am a mother to two young children, a
wife to
a serviceman, a sister to a disabled brother, and I run a business. It often feels like there
are not
enough hours in the day! But where my studies have led me to is a belief that contentment comes
from
striking a balance.
I believe that we all need a bit of help to gain better balance in
our lives and ironically, one of the
best ways to do this is through relaxation. By taking time out to relax, batteries can be recharged
and
new levels of energy found to allow the juggling act to continue.
Self-hypnosis allows me to take the
time out I need to keep me healthy, meaning that I can look
after all the other people in my life.
My
beliefs
‘Therapy’ often has negative connotations, and hypnotherapy is often just associated with losing
weight or giving up smoking. But both are misconceptions. Hypnotherapy can help you make a
change in
your life, whether that is moving away from something causing discomfort or moving
towards higher goals
such as in business or sport.
The power of the mind is phenomenal and I genuinely believe that hypnotherapy
can be used by
anyone to enhance every waking day.
Qualifications
My hypnotherapy studies are through the
Hypnotherapy Institute of Great Britain. The training
consists of 200 hours of tutor led learning with practical assessments. This sets it apart from the
many courses which allow people to practice as hypnotherapists after a fraction of that time and with
no form of examination.
My NLP qualifications started with a Practitioner qualification followed by Master Practitioner
gained in 2003.
Certificates of above qualifications can be made available on request.
